About Us

Vernon Hills Montessori Academy was founded in 2012 by Margarita Shvets, the author of "The Rhythm of Learning" and "The Rhythm of My Life". Our mission is to guide our students to the path of success through innovative academics, exploration of character, and a fearless, forward mindset. We follow the Montessori teaching model with multi-age classrooms focused on meeting children’s individual needs and hands-on learning with a greater emphasis on music and arts. We believe that music & arts in the classroom enhances the learning experience for the children and encourages the joy of learning. We accept ages 15 Months to 6 Years.
