About Us

Since 2002, Nicasa has been the Lake County agency providing services to those community members impacted by gambling. With free workshops and presentations to any interested group, free gambling counseling, and free consulting services for local businesses and agencies, we're committed to helping individuals, families and communities prevent and address unintended consequences of gambling.
Our team is headed up by a leader in the field of problem gambling awareness, and our dedicated counselors have training and certifications specific to disordered gambling. Our clients demonstrate insight, strength, and resiliency and ''pay it forward'' routinely by encouraging and motivating newcomers to the program. We are so grateful that we get to do the work that we do. It doesn't feel like work. We love raising awareness, and we love working with our clients as they heal from gambling-related harm in their lives.
