About Us

Coalition Legal is a ten-year old legal clinic operating out of the Waukegan Township offices in downtown Waukegan. Our attorneys offer free legal assistance to low-income Lake County residents who wish to seal or expunge their old criminal cases. Our service has become an essential player in the business community by providing job-ready candidates with sealed records who can not only pass a background check but offer a great work ethic. In 2022-23, Coalition Legal has helped over 500 individuals get their records sealed and most have become productive, taxpaying members of the Lake County workforce.
